About Masterclean®

Masterclean® Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning is a long-established family business based in Exeter, providing professional carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning services throughout Devon.

The roots of the business go back more than sixty years, when our family first became involved in professional carpet and upholstery cleaning. Over the decades the industry has changed enormously, but the aim has always remained the same – to provide careful, thorough cleaning and reliable service to customers.

During earlier years the business operated across large parts of southern England, carrying out work in towns and cities throughout the region. This period of expansion provided extensive experience cleaning carpets, rugs and upholstery in thousands of homes.

The Masterclean® name itself is a registered trademark. In order for the trademark to be granted, evidence had to be provided demonstrating that the name had been used continuously over a wide trading area for several years without conflict or complaint.

This long-standing and consistent use helped establish Masterclean® as a recognised trading name within the professional carpet and upholstery cleaning industry.

Through many years of practical work the business developed a deep understanding of different carpet fibres, upholstery fabrics and stain problems commonly encountered in real homes. This experience continues to guide the careful approach taken on every job today.

Masterclean® now operates as an independent family-run business focused on quality rather than volume. We do not aim to carry out large numbers of jobs each day. Instead, time is taken to ensure carpets, upholstery and rugs are cleaned thoroughly using professional hot water extraction equipment and appropriate treatments for each fabric.

Based in Exeter, we regularly carry out work throughout the whole of Devon, including towns such as Exmouth, Sidmouth, Honiton, Budleigh Salterton, Ottery St Mary, Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Totnes and Paignton, as well as many surrounding villages.

Many customers have been using Masterclean® for many years and return to us regularly. A large proportion of our work also comes through personal recommendation, something we greatly appreciate.
